Want to enjoy a good swim? Then head over to the Cypress Falls Swimming Hole. This cool, quieter swimming hole offers kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, and tubes so you can have everything you need for a great time on the water. You can also enjoy top-notch views from the Enchanted Rock State Natural Area. The summit of this 425-foot, pink granite monolith is one of the best spots in the state to go stargazing, so make sure to end your night here at least once!

Speaking of fishing, the nearby Livingston Manor is known as the birthplace of American fly fishing, and you’ll find the Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum there. From there, take the Hudson River Skywalk to reach the Olana State Historic Site, another museum with renowned landscape paintings. Last but not least, make sure you visit the majestic Hudson-Athens Lighthouse. Built in 1874, this is one of the two remaining lighthouses that stands in the middle of the Hudson River. Plus, the view from the top is absolutely worth it. Speaking of waterfalls, you can see three of them at the Cloudland Canyon State Park Waterfall Trail. The trail passes three falls in less than three miles, and Cherokee Falls offers a great spot to relax and unwind while listening to the falling water.
