Fredericksburg is hosting its 27th Annual Lavender Festival on April 25 – 26! If you want to experience this most fragrant of festivals, Nook Outdoors has you covered with some of the best boutique lodgings in the state. Learn more about Lavender Festival Fredericksburg, and how to secure your stay in this guide.

The Texas Hill Country is famous for many things, from its myriad vineyards to its scenic hiking trails. However, it’s also a major producer of all things lavender. You’re likely familiar with this striking purple plant: it’s a member of the sage family, and used in everything from cooking to cosmetics. The Annual Lavender Festival is a celebration of this plant and its many uses, as well as a chance for local artisans to showcase their products!
Lavender Fest takes place at Becker Vineyards, one of Hill Country’s many wineries. They grow more than just grapes, though. During a research trip to France, the Beckers noticed that lavender grew in conditions similar to those of the Viognier grapes they grew in their vineyards. They planted lavender fields on their land, and the rest was history! Today, Becker Vineyards is a major producer of lavender products, including cosmetics and seasoning.
The Lavender Festival takes place around the time Becker’s lavender fields are in bloom, but they’re not the only place you can see these spectacular violet fields. Nearby lavender farms bloom on different schedules throughout the spring and summer, so you can experience the allure and aroma of lavender all season!

The 27th Annual Fredericksburg Lavender Festival takes place on April 25 – April 26th, running from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM each day. General admission costs $15, though premium tickets are available that include curated experiences.
For $45, you can bundle a wine tasting with your visit. However, the real attraction is the Lavender Luncheon. For $135, you can experience a multi-course meal of lavender-inspired dishes paired with Becker Vineyards wine. The luncheon runs from 12:00 AM through 3:00 PM, and tickets include a wine tasting and general admission. Guests must be 21 or older to attend.
If you want to learn more about the many uses of lavender, consider trying the Hands-On Lavender Experience, new in 2026. For $60 (with included admission), you can make your own bath bombs, lip scrubs, and sprays to take home. This experience is not recommended for babies or toddlers, but older children are welcome! Workshops are held at 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM each day.
The Lavender Festival in Fredericksburg is a showcase of local talent, highlighting artisan vendors and local musicians. The vast artisan marketplace is a highlight of the show and runs from open to close each day. Individual vendors may operate on different hours, however.
The artisan vendors at Lavender Fest, predictably, have a plethora of lavender goods for sale! If you can imagine something lavender scented, from lotions to spice rubs, you can probably find it here. However, there are plenty of other vendors on site sharing their wares. Like any art festival, you’ll see people selling clothing, toys, accessories, home decor, and other handcrafted goods. The concessions are also fantastic, and a good way to fill up if you’re not attending the lavender luncheons.
Texas is famous for its live music, and the Lavender Festival is a highlight of the season. This is a fantastic place to discover new artists and expand your music collection. When the stages aren’t occupied by musicians, they host talks and lectures on lavender, its uses, and its history. Check the event schedule upon arrival for more details.
